IronNet Cybersecurity is the fast-growth startup founded by General (Ret) Keith Alexander, former director of the National Security Agency (NSA). IronNet is pioneering the discipline of collective defense. The company has developed innovative products for behavioral, AI, and ML-driven cyber defense, that empower companies, sectors, and nations to work together to defend against advanced cyber threats. With the launch of the IronDome and IronDefense products, IronNet leaders sought to position the company as a product company, instead of a services company. This pivot required thoughtful and strategic shift in messaging, and allowed an opportunity for a comprehensive redesign and enhancement of the company’s web presence. As a leader in marketing for cybersecurity companies, Punch was a clear choice to lead the refresh.
Website design, content and development for cyber defense trailblazer
The Punch team worked closely with IronNet leadership to explore the goals for the project, and discuss a strategy for reaching into new markets. The first step in the creative process was to establish a clear and consistent brand identity, and standardize the design system. With a slight refresh to the logo, and design of a distinct font and color system, the visual refresh was in place. Next we worked through a sitemap and wireframing exercise to establish revised information architecture for the new site. Design and copywriting followed, in parallel and crafted together, for an experience that addresses the user on multiple levels. We built the site using an intuitive content management system to enable IronNet team members to quickly and easily manage content on the site.

The revised IronNet website accomplishes a number of key strategic goals. First, it positions the company as a cybersecurity product leader, instead of a traditional consulting or professional services firm. The site provides users with an interactive and engaging user experience. Punch wrote copy throughout the site to communicate key differentiators of the organization and illustrate important product features. We created a robust culture and careers section to entice new talent. The site is built so that IronNet team can rapidly deploy landing pages and make updates to content. IronNet now has a web presence that better reflects the company’s innovation, experience and talent.
