Frontpoint security systems are entirely self service. Customers buy and configure their systems online, then install the system in their homes themselves. The Frontpoint mobile app is the user guide for DIY installation. Punch designed the UX and UI for the Frontpoint app to be simple and intuitive, and make installation easy.

The Mobile App
Without a salesperson or installation team guiding users at home, the Frontpoint mobile app is an absolutely essential resource. From the illustration of the technology, to the written instructions, to the process flow from unboxing through installation, every step, every image, every word, and every tap matter.
We worked through all steps methodically, and created a functional prototype in InVision that allowed for user testing of the app workflow. We provided ongoing consulting and support to the internal dev team as they built the application. Once live, thousands of users around the nation successfully installed their systems, and continue to use the Frontpoint app for tips and guidance, as well as for account administration, shopping and more.

User Account Dashboard
In addition to the mobile app, we partnered with Frontpoint to lead a UX and UI redesign of the user account portal. The self-service user dashboard is the platform through which users manage their personal and payment info, where place orders and process transactions, and add new items to their existing systems. We created a more intuitive and seamless user experience for Frontpoint users, and in turn created a platform to increase upsells and new orders for Frontpoint.
While Punch’s UX team worked on the app and user account portal, we also crafted dozens of marketing emails and created art for social campaigns for product promotions, holiday sales, current customer upsells and more. We wrote, designed and developed the responsive emails to help Frontpoint’s B2C sales teams drive sales and increase revenue.

As our partnership grew, Punch was able to provide creative support across a multitude of Frontpoint projects – from product photography shot in house at Punch’s studio, to UX / UI of the app and dashboard, and many other marketing materials. Over the multi-year partnership, the Frontpoint brand was evolved and refined. Customer acquisition increased, as did upsells from current customers. More families around the nation can rest assured in their home is protected, monitored and secured.
